ASSEMBLY
FITTING THE HANDLE
Your hands will come close to the blade reel during assembly. Wear safety gloves and lock the blade
reel so that it cannot rotate.
1.
Align the holes in the lower handle over the pins on each side of the mower. The sides of the
handle may need to be pressed together hard.
2.
Align the two holes in one of the intermediate sections with the holes in the lower handle.
Lock in position with the supplied nuts and screws. Repeat for the other intermediate section.
3.
Position the upper handle on both intermediate sections until the holes align and lock in
position with the supplied nuts and screws.
USE
Adjusting the fixed blade
IMPORTANT:
Turn the blade reel carefully during the adjustment. Wear safety gloves and keep your
fingers and hands away from the area between the blade reel and the fixed blade – risk of serious
personal injury. The fixed blade must be adjusted correctly for the machine to cut effectively.
1.
Slowly tighten the two setting knobs
clockwise.
2.
When the reel blades just comes into
contact with the fixed blade, turn the
adjustment knob a little anti-clockwise,
so that the blade reel can rotate without
the blades touching the fixed blade.
