USE
Intended use
The appliance is intended for use in private residential gardens. Follow all the directives and safety
instructions for best results and service-life. The appliance is designed to remove unwanted vegetation
in joints in bricks and slab or paved paths as well as in flowerbeds and on lawns during the growing
season. The appliance can also be used to light the charcoal in the barbecue grills. If so, follow the
barbecue manufacturer’s instructions.
Non-intended use
The appliance must not be used as a heat source indoors and may not be used to melt ice and snow,
and may not be used for purposes other than those described in these instructions. Do not use
the appliance in humid weather conditions. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any
damage or injury caused by modification or improper use of the appliance.
Remember before use
WARNING:
Risk of fire due to flying sparks.
• The weed burner is most effective when the plants have a high water content.
• The most favourable time for weed control with the appliance is in the spring.
• The younger the weeds, the more efficient the weed burner’s effect. However, the result of
treatment with the weed burner is not always immediately visible at the recommended effect
time; after a prolonged effect time visible plant parts may be burned. Normally plants with
slender, soft leaves are most sensitive and usually are neutralised after only one treatment.
