Adjusting
1.
Turn the adjuster knob for the planing depth to move the table
and set the required height with the scale on the planer.
2.
Turn the knob to set the required angle on the fence.
SURFACE PLANING
Adjust the table height. Use the scale on the planer.
Fitting the dust extraction port
1.
Release the lock knob and pull out the cutter guard all the way.
2.
Place the dust extraction port on the fixed table. Check that the
guide pin and the knob engage in the holes in the fixed table
and that the tap is flush with the safety switch.
3.
Turn the knob until the dust extraction port is firmly in place.
4.
Insert the adapter in the dust extraction port.
5.
Connect the dust extractor to the adapter.
Sharpening/replacing planing bits
IMPORTANT:
Switch off the tool, unplug the power cord and wait until all moving parts have completely stopped before sharpening and/or replacing
planing bits. Sharp planing bits produce better results and reduce the risk of kickback and overloading. Replace or sharpen blunt bits immediately
according to the instructions below.
1.
Remove the fence.
2.
Pull the cutter guard to the side as far as it will go.
3.
Undo the locking screws (21) clockwise with the supplied
spanner. Turn the cutterhead so that the clamp (23) and planing
bit (22) can be pulled through the opening.
4.
Pull out the clamp and planing bit.
5.
Clean all the parts and the cutterhead slot.
6.
Sharpen the planing bit.
7.
Fit a new or sharpened bit in the clamp and align to the
cutterhead.
