Pressure relief valve
The pressure relief valve has been set at the maximum permitted pressure for the vessel. Do NOT adjust
the pressure relief valve or remove its seal.
Check the oil level regularly
You must be able to see that the oil level in the sight glass is between the red oil level check mark and
the top edge of the oil sight glass.
Changing the oil
Recommended oil: SAE 15W/40 or equivalent
The oil must be changed for the first time after 100 hours of operation. Thereafter the oil should be
drained and refilled after every 500 hours of operation.
1.
Switch off the motor and pull the power plug out of the socket.
2.
After letting off any air pressure, you can remove the oil sight glass’ oil drain plug on the crankcase
guard, drain all oil and then refit the screw.
3.
Fill with oil via the oil filler hole on the crankcase guard.
4.
If any oil remains inside, tilt the compressor slightly.
5.
When the oil has drained out, tighten the oil drain screw/sight glass again.
6.
Fill with new oil until it reaches the red mark on the sight glass.
7.
Then fit the oil filler plug back into place.

Dispose of the used oil according to applicable requirements and regulations.
Cleaning the intake filter
The intake filter is a paper filter that prevents dust and dirt being drawn in. It must be cleaned or replaced
when performance decreases or every 300 hours of operation at most. Small amounts of dirt can be
removed with a brush or by blowing air through the filter. If the filter is very dirty, replace it with a new
paper. The filter must not be cleaned with combustible liquids such as benzene or similar.
WARNING!
Wait until the compressor has cooled completely! Risk of burns!
The pressure switch is set at the factory. Switch-on pressure is 5 bar. Switch-off pressure is 8 bar.
Possible malfunctions that result in the motor overloading and the overload protection to trigger:
-
Mains voltage too high
-
Too high ambient air temperature and insufficient air supply
-
Defective compressor valves or leaking non-return valve
-
Minimal oil level, connecting rod bearing runs slowly
Switch on the AC motors again after the cooling-off period. Avoid touching hot engine parts and
pipes.
Corrosion must be prevented
Depending on the conditions of use, condensation may accumulate inside the tank, and this must be
emptied out every day. This may be done manually, by opening the draining tap, or by means of the
automatic condensation drainer, if fitted to the tank.
During maintenance, every 12 months, the user or a Client Service expert must check the presence of
internal corrosion and perform an external visual control. If the receiver is used with an oil-free
