TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem

Poor atomisation (the paint
comes out in lumps).
Incorrect adjustment of paint
volume (the paint is too thick).
Dilute the paint and refill again.
Adjust the air regulator to increase the
pressure.
Coat of paint too thick.
The paint sprayer has not been
cleaned and as a result the
needle valve is sticking.
Take the paint sprayer apart and clean it.
Too much paint.
Adjust the volume control to reduce the
amount of paint. Try spraying two thin
layers of paint instead.
Too low viscosity.
Add undiluted paint too increase the
viscosity.
Orange peel effect or paint
mist.
Use of incorrect thinner.
Use a different thinner.
The paint sprayer is being held at
the wrong distance from the
surface to be painted.
Hold the paint sprayer at a different
distance from the surface.
The paint is too thick.
Dilute the paint and/or test the paint's
viscosity with a viscosity cup.
The air pressure is too high.
Reduce the air pressure.
The paint's surface is
rough, as if the paint has
dried before reaching the
surface.
The paint is too thin.
Add more paint to the paint container.
The air pressure might be too
high.
Reduce the air pressure.
