OPERATION
The tool is intended for drilling holes in wood, aluminium, plastic and soft steel, and for screw driving
(screwing wood screws in and out).
Before starting work
The battery pack must be fully charged before first use. We recommend that you charge the battery for at
least 5 hours the first time. For optimum battery output, the battery should be discharged fully before
charging the first five or six times it is charged. Allow the battery to charge fully (3
–5 hours) the first five or
six times.
Check that the drill/screwdriver bits are appropriate for the intended purpose, and that they are correctly
inserted.
Check that the direction of rotation selector is set to the correct direction of rotation.
The battery must be charged when the drill is no longer operating at full power. Do not continue to use the
drill when the battery has begun to weaken. Charge the battery immediately. Overcharging can shorten
battery life. Do not allow the battery to be charged for longer than 5 hours. Never charge the battery again
immediately after it has been charged.
If the drill is not used, the battery will lose its power over time. To ensure optimum function, the battery
should be charged after extended storage without being used. If more than one battery is to be charged,
you must wait at least 15 minutes between chargings.
