USE
WORK AREA AND WORKPIECE
•
Keep the work area clean and well lit. Keep other people,
especially children, and pets at a safe distance from the
work area.
•
Place the power cord so that it cannot be damaged by
moving parts. Plug the plug into a suitable power point,
and so the cord does not obstruct the work.
•
Secure the workpiece with a clamp, clips or vice.
•
Use a suitable detector to check there are no electric
cables, gas and/or water pipes in the work area.
CHOICE OF SANDPAPER
Use a suitable grade of sandpaper for the work. Sandpaper with
aluminium oxide, silicon carbide and other synthetic abrasives
provide better sanding.
Coarse sandpaper removes more material, while fine sandpaper
produces a smoother surface. Choose coarse sandpaper to sand
rough surfaces. Use medium coarse sandpaper to remove marks
