• Never leave the product unattended when
the battery is inserted.
• Switch off the product before transporting
it.
• Do not use the product if a handle or
safety device is dismantled or damaged.
Do not use the product if it is not fully
assembled.
• Do not dismantle the product or attempt
to modify or repair it, this will invalidate
the warranty and can result in a risk of
personal injury and/or material damage.
• Only use spare parts recommended by the
manufacturer. Remove the battery before
changing accessories and/or spare parts.
Fit accessories and/or spare parts in
accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions.
• Hold the product firmly with both hands
and point the blade/trimmer head away
from the body.
• Check that the blade/trimmer head is not
touching the ground or an object when
starting the product.
• Check that the power switch is in the OFF
position before putting in the battery.
The power switch and lock must not be
in the locked position.
• Keep other people, especially children,
and pets at least 15 metres away from the
work area.
• Only use the product in daylight, or in
good artificial lighting.
• Wear safety glasses, ear protection, safety
gloves, non-slip safety shoes and
heavy-duty long trousers.
• Do not wear loose-fitting clothing,
jewellery or watches that can get caught
in moving parts. Do not use the product
barefoot or wearing open shoes.
• Stay at least 10 metres away from power
lines.
• Do not overreach. Always maintain a firm
footing and good balance. Only use the
product on a level, stable surface.
• Be careful to avoid slipping or falling,
especially when walking backwards.
• Switch off the product immediately and
remove the battery from the product if the
blade jams. Remove the blockage.
• Check that the power switch is in the OFF
position before putting in the battery. The
power switch and lock must not be in the
locked position.
• Never dismantle or modify the safety
devices on the product.
• Do not use the product if it is damaged,
or if all the safety devices are not in place
and working properly. Replace damaged
or worn parts.
• Do not use the product in an explosive
environment, e.g. near flammable liquids,
gas or dust – risk of fire and/or explosion.
WARNING!
The product produces an electromagnetic
field when in use. This field can in some
circumstances affect active or passive medical
implants. If you have a medical implant
you should consult your doctor and/or the
manufacturer of the medical implant before
using the product to reduce the risk of serious
or fatal personal injury.
