Storage
Follow the instructions for cleaning and
maintenance. Store the machine in a dry, well-
ventilated area. Never store the machine indoors
where there are sources of heat, e.g. a boiler,
water heater, tumble drier or electric motors
that could emit sparks. This is to avoid the risk of
igniting fuel fumes.
Preparations for long-term storage
If the machine is not going to be used for a
month or more, prepare it for long-term storage.
Failure to follow the storage instructions can
result in fuel in the carburettor evaporating and
leaving deposits, which can make the engine
difficult to start and lead to expensive repairs.
1. Open the fuel cap slowly to relieve any
overpressure in the fuel tank. Carefully
empty the fuel tank.
2. Run the engine until it stops due to a lack
of fuel.
3. Allow the engine to cool (it takes about 5
minutes).
4. Remove the spark plug and pour 1
teaspoon of fresh 2-stroke oil into the
cylinder through the spark plug hole. Pull
the starter cord slowly several times to
distribute the oil in the engine.
5. Screw in the spark plug.
Use after long-term storage
1. Unscrew the spark plug.
2. Pull the starter cord quickly several times
to remove surplus oil from the combustion
chamber.
3. Clean the spark plug and check the
electrode gap.
4. Screw in the spark plug.
5. Prepare the machine for working according
to the instructions.
6. Fill the fuel tank with a mixture of oil and
petrol.
SERVICE
Before sending the machine to an authorised
service centre for inspection and/or repair all the
oil and fuel must be drained.
