3 Operating
The unit only works with the mains adapter. For mains operation, plug the
mains adapter into the socket prior to starting the unit up.
Push the required attachment into the opening of the quick-acting chuck
until it meets with resistance. Switch on the unit using the ON/OFF button
.
The attachment will be locked in firmly as soon as the unit starts up. Select
clockwise or anti-clockwise running using the switch
and regulate the
rotary speed using the
+/–
buttons
.
Start slowly for each application and increase the continuously adjustable
rotating speed to suit your individual requirements.
This produces a small amount of dust. The sapphire heads only remove dead
skin particles with careful grinding. Living skin particles are not removed. Thus
there is no risk of injury.
Stop the treatment at once if you find that the removal of hard skin is un-
pleasant.
Recommended sequence of attachments
1. Sapphire cone, coarse
For callused and rough skin on feet and hands but also for abrading very
thick, hard nails. It re-shapes crooked nails and relieves painful pressure.
2. Sapphire disc, coarse
Shortens and shapes nails right into the corners. The result is perfectly
cared for nails which no longer split, break or peel.
3. Flame
file
For careful release of ingrown nails. It is also possible to remove fungal
spores from under the front edge of the nail.
Use the flame file with
great care!
4. Sapphire file, round
For grinding out ingrown nails. Apply from the side and slowly grind away
the ingrown nail to release it.
The sapphire file should not be used for
cuticle removal on the lunula (the whitish half-moon at the base of
the nail) as there is a danger of grooves being ground into the
lunula.
5. Felt
cone
The attachment for final finishing of all nail care. Finger and toe nails are
buffed to a natural shine. Superbly smooth nails and nail edges round off
a perfect treatment.
