If food residues remain stuck to the side of the jug (e.g. in the case of herbs or
other moist foods), switch the appliance off and dislodge the residues with a flat
spoon or spatula. Return them to the jug and pulse two or three more times to
chop them.
To add ingredients, either remove the protective lid completely or just the meas-
uring cup. After filling, close the blender jug with the lid straight away.

Once the food has been chopped sufficiently, wait until the blade stops. Move
the speed control to the 0 position and unplug the mains cable.

Turn the blender jug anticlockwise to remove it from the drive shaft.

Remove the lid and measuring cup and empty the blender jug.
8.1. Dismantling the blade for the blender jug

Switch the appliance off by moving the speed control to the 0 position and dis-
connect the food processor from the mains.

Turn the blender jug anticlockwise to remove it from the drive shaft.

Remove the lid and measuring cup and empty the blender jug.

Place the blender jug upside down on a stable and even surface.

Twist the drive adapter on the blender jug in a clockwise direction to unscrew it
from the blender jug.

Clean the drive adapter and the blade for the blender jug as described under
“Cleaning the appliance” on page 46.

Then screw the drive adapter back onto the blender jug by turning it in an anti-
clockwise direction.
