GENERAL SETUP menu
The GENERAL SETUP menu covers six settings
TV DISPLAY
Here you set the unit's display format to match that of the television.
NORMAL/PS: Selection for televisions with 4:3
format. The Pan Scan format repre-
sents 16:9 full height film formats;
side sections of the image are cut
off.
NORMAL/LB: Selection for televisions with 4:3
format. The letter box format re-
duces the 16:9 film format to the
size of the screen.
WIDE:
Selection for televisions with
16:9 format.

To change a setting navigate to the desired
setting and confirm by pressing
PLAY
.

If the DVD includes scenes that have been saved from vari-
ous camera positions this symbol appears at the appropriate
places.
O F F
:
The symbol does not appear with this setting.
OSD LANGUAGE
This sets the OSD (on screen display) language, i.e. the language for the
DVD player's menus. You can choose English, French, German, Italian,
Spanish, Dutch and Danish.
When selecting a language the menu changes immediately.
CAPTIONS (sub-titles)
ON:
If the DVD includes sub-titles these are displayed.
OFF:
No sub-titles are displayed.
Screen saver
ON:
If the unit is idle for a few seconds/minutes a screen saver ap-
pears.
OFF:
Screen saver is de-activated.
