Sound functions
Switch sound off - MUTE

Click
MUTE
to switch the sound off completely.
M U T E
appears on the
screen.

again to switch the sound on.

screen.
Volume - VOLUME

Repeatedly press the

VOLUME -
button to increase or re-
duce the volume.
The
VOLUME
switch on the unit regulates the volume of any con-
nected headphones (
PHONES
).
3D sound
You can achieve a 3D or surround effect for CDs that are coded in the
Dolby Pro Logic, Dolby Digital or dts formats. The

S T E R E O
option must be set in the loudspeaker menu.

Press the
3D
button repeatedly to call up the following sound effects:
: No effect
: Surround effect with vocal emphasis
: Surround effect strengthened gradually.
Do not use the function,
– if more than two loudspeakers are connected,
– if coaxial cables or optical digital output for digital sound are used,
– if a surround effect is switched on in one of the connected units.
