Connecting External Devices
Connecting Headphones
The headphones are connected via headphone socket.
Caution!
Using headphones at high volume generates excessive acoustic pressure and
can result in permanent hearing damage. Before pressing play, set the volume
to the lowest setting. Start playback and increase the volume to a comfortable
level. Changes to the basic equaliser settings can increase the volume and thus
damage your hearing permanently.
Using headphones to listen to a device at high volumes for an
extended period can damage your hearing.
Connecting an External DVD Player
There are a number of options for connecting a DVD player.
1. With a SCART Adapter
If the external DVD Player is equipped with SCART connection, then connect the DVD
Player directly to the SCART connector at the back of the TV.
2. Stereo RCA Cable and a Video RCA Cable
If connecting RCA AV (yellow, red and white connectors) output from the DVD Player,
then follow this procedure:
Connect video RCA cable (yellow jack) to the video input of the SCART adapter.
Connect stereo chinch cables (red and white jacks) to the audio input of the
SCART adapter.
Plug in SCART adapter to the SCART connector at the back of the TV.
