If the instrument uses 3V manganese or alkaline dry cell (2 AAA batteries), when LCD displays
“          ”, it indicates that the battery has been in a low power state. The battery must be replaced as
soon as possible to ensure the accuracy of the measurement. Meanwhile, after the replacement of
components (such as batteries) and the thermometer reaches the end of its equipment life, please
handle it according to local laws and regulations.

Precautions for Installing or Replacing Battery

Attentions

1. When opening the battery cover to replace the battery, pay attention to
the correct position of the positive and negative poles. Please take out the
battery immediately after use. Misplacement may cause product damage.
2. When it is not to be used for a long time, please take out the battery to
prevent the thermometer from being damaged due to battery leakage.
3.  Do  not  use  the  infrared  thermometer  when  the  battery  leaks  or  gets
moldy.
4. Do not put the battery close to the fire source or into the fire in case of
battery explosion.
5. Do not store the battery in high temperature or high humidity.
6. To avoid short circuit, do not put the battery in the same pocket or other
containers with metal objects such as coins or keys, or in the containers that
may cause short circuit.
7. In case the electrolyte in the battery accidentally enters the eyes, please
wash  the  eyes  with  plenty  of  water  immediately.  If  there  is  a  risk  of
blindness  and  other  injuries,  immediately  go  to  the  nearest  hospital  for
treatment.
8. In case the electrolyte in the battery is accidentally on the skin or clothes,
please wash it with plenty of water immediately, otherwise it may damage
the skin.

Notes 1. The emissivity of different materials may be different, so please refer to the emissivity of
materials. The  default  emissivity  of  this  product  is  1.0. With  different  emissivity,  the  measured
temperature will different from the actual temperature.

4. Operation steps

4.1 measurement operation

(1) When the thermometer is in the temperature measurement mode, hold and press the measuring
button to start up, the instrument will self-check. After one second, the buzzer will send out the
corresponding prompt sound, and the measurement results will be displayed on the display screen.
When  the  corresponding  backlight  is  turned  on,  and  the  temperature  can  be  measured  again  by
pressing the measuring button.
(2) Make sure that the thermometer is 5cm ~ 10cm vertical to the forehead (Figure 1). Then press
the measuring button by finger. When the measurement is completed, the temperature result will be
displayed (Figure 2).
