Installation Checklist
Once the Audiotrix 3D-XG sound board has been installed in
your computer and you have completed the installation
procedures for all of the Setup Utilities (and/or other
applications) proceed in the following manner to determine if
the Audiotrix 3D-XG is functioning correctly:

Open the Audiotrix Audio Player.
x
Click on Play to play a MIDI file.
x
From Short Playlist, double-click on
DEMO3DXG.WAV to play a Wave file.
x
Put digital effects on the Wave file.
If you have not experienced any problems doing the above,
the Audiotrix 3D-XG is working correctly. If you did not
hear any sounds or if the sounds you heard were FM and not
wavetable, verify your configuration in the following manner:
1. Verify the Audiotrix 3D-XG hardware
configuration:

Click on the Start menu of the Task Bar
x
Click on Settings
x
Click on Control Panel
x
Double click on the System icon
x
Select the Device Manager tab
x
Make sure that the “Sound, video and game
controllers” category exists
x
Make sure that the following devices appear under
the above-mentioned category (double click to
expand the device tree):
x
Audiotrix 3D-XG v1.0 Audio
x
Audiotrix 3D-XG v1.0 Joystick
x
If there is an exclamation point in front of one the
devices, this is an indication that the device is not
configured properly. This conflict must be resolved
before the Audiotrix 3D-XG will work properly.
