6.1 Cleaning overview
Washing and sanitising are two different activities. They must be done separately to protect
you and your baby, and to maintain the performance of your breast pump.
Wash
– To clean the surfaces of the parts by physically removing milk residues and other
possible contaminants.
Sanitise
– To efficiently lower the number of germs that may be present on the surfaces of the
washed parts.
When to clean
