FlowConnect
1 - Retrofit Procedure
STEP 1: Inventory the parts
a. Check the parts received against the parts list on the
previous page.
b. Compare the serial numbers engraved on the lids to
confirm they match.
c. Confirm the serial number on the FlowConnect unit
corresponds to information on a silver label located on
the bottom of the base plate.

STEP 3: Run replacement power and sensor cables
Remove the existing cable runs and replace them with new cables. At a minimum, you will need to replace the sensor cable
from the meter head. If you plan to install sensors or a solar panel, plan their location at the same time.
You may choose to do
STEP 3 through STEP 6
in the order you need, depending on how your remote mount is
configured.

STEP 2: Shut off or disconnect the power
Shut off the power source to the FlowCom unit.
You may run you cables through conduit if you wish. If your cables run through conduit, it may be easier if
you run replacement cables before you install a new submergible mount kit at the meter head. This especially
applies if you have buried conduit.
If your cables do not run through conduit, you only need to make sure the cables are long enough for the full
cable run.

IMPORTANT:
The power and sensor cables cannot be reused. They will need to be replaced with new cables with the appropriate
connectors for the FlowConnect unit.
