4. Safety Information
• Never place containers containing liquids, e.g. glasses, buckets, vases or plants on the device or in its vicinity.
Never operate the device close to water surfaces or larger liquid containers. Liquids may get into the housing and
impair electrical safety. This also poses great danger of fire or potentially fatal electric shock! If this is the case,
first power down the respective mains socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker) and then pull the mains cable from
the socket. Do not operate the product anymore afterwards, but take it to a specialist workshop.
• Do not expose the device to any high temperatures, dripping or splashing water, high humidity, strong vibrations
or high mechanical strain.
• Do not place any open sources of fire, such as burning candles, on or directly next to the device.
• Consult an expert if you are unsure as to the function, safety or connection of the product.
• Never operate the device unattended. Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket if you are not using the device
for an extended period of time.
• Only operate the device in moderate climate, never in tropical climate.
• Do not leave any packing material unattended. It may become a dangerous toy for children.
• At industrial sites, the accident prevention regulations of the association of the industrial workers’ societies for
electrical equipment and utilities must be followed.
