charging socket.
With the second battery con-
nected to the motorcycle's on-
board electrical system, charge
it via the socket at the rear left.
NOTICE
The second battery is wired dir-
ectly to the rear socket and is
not connected to the on-board
electrics. Consequently, the re-
strictions regarding the type of
charger to be used do not apply
for the second battery.

NOTICE
If you are unable to charge the
battery through the on-board
socket, you may be using a char-
ger that is not compatible with
your motorcycle's electronics. If

Charging battery when
disconnected
Charge the battery using a
suitable charger.
Comply with the operating in-
structions of the charger.
After charging, remove the pole
terminal of the charger from
the battery posts.
NOTICE
The battery has to be recharged
at regular intervals in the course
of a lengthy period of disuse.
See the instructions for caring
for your battery. Always fully re-
charge the battery before restor-
ing it to use.
