This unit is not designed to be used by persons (including children) with impaired
physical, sensory or mental abilities or those lacking experience and/or knowledge
unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or received
instructions on how to use the device from them. Children must be under supervi-
sion to ensure that they do not play with the device.

Only use and store the unit out of the reach of children. The mains cord may also
not be accessible for children. They could pull the unit down with it.
Setting up and Connecting the Toaster

Only use the product in enclosed areas.

Always place the device on a dry, level,

rm, and heat resistant surface.
❐
Maintain adequate distance to heat sources such as stovetops or ovens in order to
prevent damages to the device.

Bread and baked goods in toasters can catch
fi
re. Therefore, do not place the
toaster in the vicinity of or under
fl
ammable objects, e. g. curtains.

Only connect the device to a properly installed socket with protective ground
contacts. The socket must also be easily accessible after the device has been con-
nected. The mains voltage must correspond to the technical data of the device.
Only use proper extension cords, whose technical data correspond to those of the
device.

Ensure that the connected mains cord does not pose a tripping hazard.
❐
Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of a table or kitchen worktop. Some-
one could catch him/herself and pull down the device.
❐
Lay the cable such that it is not crushed or creased and such that it does not come
into contact with hot surfaces.
Use

Check the device for damages prior to each usage session. If the device, the cord
or the plug exhibit visible damages, the device may not be used.

In the event the unit is defective, do not attempt to repair it yourself. In the event
of damage, contact the customer service (see section “Customer Service”).

Do not use any additional accessories.
❐
Do not leave the device on when unattended.
❐
When operating the device, the temperature of the touchable surface may be very
high. The device has been thermally insulated; nonetheless, high temperatures
occur in the area of toasting compartments during use, which may result in burns.
Only touch the thermally-insulated control elements.

Only move the device once it has cooled off.
❐
Only suitable pastries may be toasted in the device!
❐
Do not cover the toasting compartments, neither by placing rolls or slices of bread
over them nor with other objects, e. g. dishes.
❐
Do not toast any buttered bread.
❐
Only use the device with the crumb tray and empty it regularly.
❐
Ensure that the toaster is able to deactivate after the toasting process.
