DC voltage measurement
•
Set the function selection switch to DC V.
•
Connect the wires to the device.
•
Connect the wires to the measured circuit.
•
The display shows the measured voltage.
AC voltage measurement
•
Set the function selection switch to AC V.
•
Connect the wires to the device.
•
Connect the wires to the measured circuit.
•
The display shows the measured voltage.
Resistance, diode, continuity and capacity
measurement
•
Set the function selection switch to "Ω/diode/
continuity/capacity".
•
Connect the wires to the device.
•
To select the desired measurement function
(ohm/diode/continuity/break) press the
mode selection switch and the display shows
"diode/continuity/nF". Activate the mode with
another press of the button.
•
Make sure that the measured circuit is not
under power.
•
Touch the wires to the end points of the
resistor/diode/capacitor or the circuit.
•
The measured value is displayed on the screen.
•
In continuity mode if the measured resistance
is lower than 100Ω the device beeps.
•
When measuring diode opening voltage -
opening direction in case of a normal silicone
diode - the device shows 0.4-0.7 V. In the
closing direction (and in case of a broken
diode) the device shows "OL". In case of a
short-circuited diode the device shows 0mV
voltage.
•
If you are measuring capacity in a circuit, turn
off all power sources and discharge every
electrolyte capacitor several times.
WARNING!
Before measuring a resistor that is part of a circuit, turn
the power off and discharge all electrolyte capacitors!
Frequency measurement
•
Connect the black wire to the "COM" and the
red one to the "V/Ω/Hz" connector.
•
Set the function selection switch to
"Hz/%Duty".
•
Connect the wires to the signal source. The
range is automatically selected by the device
to give you the best possible resolution.
•
By pressing the "Hz/%" button the duty cycle
of the measured signal is displayed on the
screen.
Note: The voltage of the inward signal can be between
800mV and 10V AC RMS. Above 10V the measurement
may be inaccurate.
Duty cycle measurement
•
Connect the black wire to the "COM" and the
red one to the "V/Ω/Hz" connector.
•
Set the function selection switch to
"Hz/%Duty".
•
Press the "Hz/%" button to switch to duty cycle
measurement mode.
•
Connect the wires to the signal source. The
range is automatically selected by the device
to give you the best possible resolution.
Note: The voltage of the inward signal can be between
900mV and 10V AC RMS. Above 10V the measurement
may be inaccurate.

replaceMent
If the "BAT" sign appears on the screen, the
battery in the device needs to be replaced.
•
Turn the device off and remove the measuring
wires.
•
Remove the screw holding the battery
container lid, and remove the lid.
•
Remove the depleted battery and replace it to
a new one of the same type (9V, IEC6F22)
•
Replace the lid and screw it back in.
Warning: Always make sure that the wires are
disconnected from any measured circuits before opening
the container lid. Close and screw back the lid before
using the device again.
