3.5 Connecting and Turning On the Power
Once all of the components have been installed into the RAID system, and the management interfaces have been
connected, the RAID system can now be powered on.
1. Plug one power cable into the AC power port.(A)
2. Plug the second power cable into the other AC power port.
3. Turn both power switch on. (B)
3.6 Connecting UPS Monitor Port
The RAID system can monitor UPS facility that provides SMART-UPS management of the UPS via a serial port (DB-9
RS232). Two cables were necessary to get it works, one UPS cable (Phonejack to DB-9, (A)) of accessary package of
RAID system , the other UPS cable (DB-9 to DB-9, (B)) of accessary package of UPS facility.
Please follow the procedures below to connect to UPS monitor interface.
1. Connect the phonejack connector of UPS cable (A) to UPS port of RAID system and the other end to other UPS
cable (B).
2. Connect the UPS cable to UPS port of UPS facility.
