Send and read SMS
SMS is fun with the MX78xx. Send long messages (up
to 456 characters), and personalize them with pictures
and sounds. Using the SMS editor is very easy if you
follow this guide:

Press
to open the menu. Step to
Messages
. Press
OK
. The
Write new SMS
submenu will be active.
Press
OK
to enter the text editor.
●
Write your message using a maximum of 456 Latin
characters.
-while you type, the remaining characters will be
indicated by a counter in the top right corner.
Note that
using all 456 characters will require
three separate SMS messages to be sent
. Also note
that some languages have
special characters
that will
expand the message. Thus, up to seven messages may
be sent.
Options:
From
the softkey roll-
up menu you
can
Forward
an SMS,
Reply
to an SMS,
Call
the sender or
Save
the
phone number
to your Phone
Book. You can
also
Delete
the
active SMS.
