PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSES
SOLUTIONS
Motor does not run.
1.
Tank pressure exceeds
preset value of pressure
switch. Refer to technical
specifications on page 6.
2.
Fuse is blown or circuit
breaker is tripped in your
fuse box.
3.
Internal motor thermal
overload protector has
tripped.
4.
Check for proper fuse.
5.
Check for low voltage and
extension cord.
6.
The branch circuit supplies
power for other appliances.
7.
Check valve is stuck or
opened.
8.
Improper wire gauge size
or extension cord length.
9.
Electrical connections are
loose.
10. Paint spray on the internal
parts of motor.
11. Motor is defective.
1.
Motor will start
automatically when tank
pressure drops below cut-
in pressure of the tank.
2.
Replace the fuse and/
or reset the breaker
and restart the unit. If
continued tripping occurs
replace the check valve on
the compressor or contact
a service technician.
3.
The motor has a built-
in thermal overload
protector that trips when
necessary to protect the
motor from damage when
overheated. To reset the
thermal overload, toggle
the pressure switch
Auto/Off switch to the
Off position and unplug
the unit from the power
source. Allow 10 minutes
(minimum) for the thermal
overload protector to cool
and reset. Unit can then be
plugged in and re-started.
4.
Use Fusetron type T fuse.
5.
Use extension cord of
proper size.
6.
Disconnect the circuit
from other appliances. Use
a separate branch circuit.
7.
Clean or replace the check
valve if required.
8.
Use the wire gauge of
proper size and extension
cord of correct length.
9.
Contact authorized service
centre.
10. Contact authorized service
centre. Do not operate the
compressor in the paint
spray area.
11. Contact authorized service
centre.
