Installation and Use
3.1. User Environment
During the use of this product, the room temperature and humidity should remain in a range for
normal working and living conditions.
Collision Warning
Collisions with other equipment can cause structural failure of the suspension
arm, resulting in operator or patient injury. If collision occurs, the arm has been
inspected immediately by a qualified service technician.
3.2. Installation, Connection methods, Connections
The MAVIG product/ system must be set up correctly in accordance with the assembly instruction
MTH02OXX or GDM01OXX enclosed to the product/ system. Failure to follow the instruction can
cause the system to be unstable and/or mean that its function is reduced.
CAUTION
These instructions for use are only valid once the first commissioning has been
properly implemented.
You will find additional installation considerations according to IEC60601-1 2005+A1:2012 in the
installation manual.
All electrical connections, assembly and disassembly work on the system must be carried out by
qualified personnel specially trained for this work.

Every effort must be made to ensure that the electricity power supply to the
entire system is disconnected when assembling and installing the GD50-system
and/or its associated components.

Risk of injury or breakage
The spring arm is always pre-tensioned. Before carrying out assembly or
dismantling work on the spring arm, always move it slowly to its upper limit
(where it is under minimum spring tension). If this is not done, the spring arm
may unexpectedly swing upwards when components are removed. This could
result in personal injury and/or damage to the system!
3.3. Cleaning, Disinfection, Sterilization
3.3.1. Cleaning
For wiping all surfaces:
Use soft, particle-free and free of residues of other cleaning agents cloths for cleaning.
Only slightly moisten the cloth. If necessary, use a mild soap solution or commercial
washing-up liquid.
Make sure that no liquid is spilled during cleaning and penetrates the device.
Then rub dry the surfaces with a cloth.
