The generator output is monitored by reference to the ammeter located in the left side of
the instrument panel. Should the generator of warning light illuminate, move generator
switch from off to reset to on. If system will not reset, investigate the electrical system mal-
function.
The generator Control Unit in the electrical system contains the following functions:
a. Voltage regulator
b. Generator (line) contactor control
c.
Overvoltage protection
d. Overload/Undervoltage protection
e. Reverse current protection
f.
Reverse polarity protection
g. Anti-cycle protection
h. Latching field relay
i.
Flash start relay
j.
Overvoltage and Overload protection self test (using remote SW)
