whether the UV- tube is still functional in this way

Proceed as follows to check the functionality of the tube:
Try in the operation (circulating water) to take a look through the transparent connectors (Control-window, transparent
plastic inset in the middle of the unit or use the transparent connector when you use it). Therefore you need a preferably
dark environment, because the light only shines weakly!
The weak bluish glimmer shows you that the tube is functional.
