For the attention of pacemaker and active implant wearers
The operating of the plate complies with electromagnetic interference standards
in force. Your induction plate thus corresponds perfectly to legal requirements
(directives 89/336/CEE). It is designed not to interfere with the operating of
other electrical appliances insofar as they comply with this regulation. Your in-
duction plate generates magnetic fields between your hotplate and a pacema-
ker; the latter must be designed in accordance with the regulations concerning
it. In this respect, we can only guarantee the conformity of our own product.
Concerning the conformity of the pacemaker or possible incompatibilities, you
can find out more from its manufacturer or your doctor.

To use your induction plate in total safety, please respect the following points:
This appliance is not intended to be used by persons (including children) whose
physical, sensorial or mental capacities are reduced, or persons lacking in ex-
perience or knowledge, unless they were able to benefit from prior supervision
or instructions concerning the use of the appliance from a person responsible
for their safety. It is advisable to supervise children to ensure they do not play
with the appliance.
Any repair must be carried out solely by persons trained or recommended by
the manufacturer. Take care that the coating and nearby areas do not have
metallic surfaces. Metallic objects such as cutlery or cooking utensils must not
be placed on the hotplate in cooking zones, because they could heat up.
How to protect and look after your appliance:
Avoid knocks with containers. The glass top is highly resistant but it isn’t
however unbreakable.
Avoid scratching containers on the top of the appliance. They may damage the
silkscreen printing of the vitroceramic in the long run.
Avoid containers with rough or dented bases, they may retain and transport
materials that cause stains or scratches to the vitroceramic.
Centre your container on the hob.
Don’t leave an empty container on the hob.
Do not reheat a closed can; there is a risk of it exploding.
Do not preheat food on the maximum adjusted level of power when you use a
container with a non-stick interior coating without adding or adding very little
fat.
Metallic objects such as cutlery, cooking utensils etc. must not be placed on the
hotplate in cooking zones, because they could heat up.
All of these defects that do not lead to a failure to work or unsuitability for use
are not covered by the guarantee.
