2.
Connect the ISA AX+/OR+ to a host device. Ensure the host device is powered ON
and the capnography parameters display.
3.
Let the ISA AX+/OR+ complete the automatic zeroing procedure which is
indicated by a flashing green Input Connector.
4.
Connect the manual pressure gauge as shown in figure 1-8.
5.
Retract the plunger of the syringe to 0.5 ml as shown in figure 1-8.
6.
Turn the 4-way stopcock lever direction as shown in figure 1-11.
Figure 1-11
7.
The Input Connector will indicate an occlusion with flashing red light, wait for at
least 2 minutes until the ISA AX+/OR+ enters a permanently occluded mode
(confirm that the pump motor is off).
Note:
Do not power OFF the ISA AX+/OR+ system.
8.
Turn the 4-way stopcock lever direction to the initial position shown in figure 1-10.
9.
Connect the NomoLine ISA Maintenance Kit to the ISA AX+/OR+ Exhaust Port as
shown in figure 1-4. See
NomoLine ISA CO2/AX+ Interface
on page 11 or
ISA OR+
Interface
on page 12.
10.
Use the manual pressure gauge meter to create a pressure of 105 ±2 mmHg in the
system.
11.
Wait 5 seconds for pressure stabilization.
12.
Insert 0.5 ml of air into the system by pressing the syringe plunger. Note the new
reading of the manual pressure gauge.
13.
Wait 60 seconds.
14.
Note the reading of the manual pressure gauge.
Test result:
Pressure should not decay below the initial pressure of 105 ±2 mmHg, a pressure decay below
the initial pressure indicates a leakage greater than 0.5 ml/min in the ISA AX+/OR+ system.
If the leakage test fails, the pneumatic system should be carefully checked for leaks and
damaged tubing. The leakage test should be repeated. Do not operate the ISA AX+/OR+
system if there is a leakage greater than 0.5 ml/min.
