NomoLine ISA CO2
Procedure
1.
Make sure the NomoLine ISA CO2 system is powered OFF.
2.
Connect the manual pressure gauge as shown in figure 1-8.
3.
Retract the plunger of the syringe to 0.5 ml as shown in figure 1-8.
4.
Connect the NomoLine ISA Maintenance Kit to the NomoLine ISA CO
2
Input
Connector and Exhaust Port. See
NomoLine ISA CO2/AX+ Interface
on page 11.
Ensure the 4-way stopcock lever is in the position shown in figure 1-9.
Figure 1-9
5.
Use the manual pressure gauge meter to create a pressure of 105 ±2 mmHg in the
system.
6.
Wait 5 seconds for pressure stabilization.
7.
Insert 0.5 ml of air into the system by pressing the syringe plunger. Note the new
reading of the manual pressure gauge.
8.
Wait 60 seconds.
9.
Note the reading of the manual pressure gauge.
Test Result
Pressure should not decay below the initial pressure of 105 ±2 mmHg, a pressure decay below
the initial pressure indicates a leakage greater than 0.5 ml/min in the NomoLine ISA CO
2
system. If the leakage test fails, the pneumatic system should be carefully checked for leaks
and damaged tubing. The leakage test should be repeated. Do not operate the NomoLine ISA
CO
2
system if there is a leakage greater than 0.5 ml/min.
ISA AX+/OR+
Procedure
1.
Connect the NomoLine ISA Maintenance Kit to the ISA AX+/OR+ Input Connector
shown in figure 1-3 and leave the exhaust open. See
NomoLine ISA CO2/AX+
Interface
on page 11 or
ISA OR+ Interface
on page 12. Ensure the 4-way stopcock
lever is in the position shown in figure 1-10.
