Gear Lever
The motorcycle is provided with a 4-speed gear transmission. The gear lever
connects to a ratchet mechanism in the transmission. After selecting a gear, the
gear lever returns to the rest position, so that the next gear can be selected. The
neutral gear is between the first gear and second gear. From the neutral
position, press down the gear lever to engage first gear. Raise the gear lever one
step to move up a gear. Because of the ratchet mechanism you cannot move
two or more gears in one operation. To shift from second gear to first gear, or
from first gear to second gear, it passes the neutral position and does not stay
there. To engage to neutral a gentle movement up from first gear, or down from
second gear is needed. Practice this before your first ride.
Do not overfill the fuel tank. Never splash fuel onto a hot engine. Overfilling the
tank can cause fuel to spill out if the tank is exposed to sunlight, due to fuel
expansion.
During fuel refilling, shutdown the engine and turn the key to the OFF position.
Smoking is strictly forbidden during fuel refilling.
