INITIAL START-UP SAFETY INFORMATION FORM
Safety
Most agricultural equipment accidents can be prevented by observing a few
simple safety measures.
•
Do not perform any cleaning, lubrication or adjustment work while baler is in operation
(moving) or tractor engine is running. Listen and visually check to see presence of any
rotating parts.
•
Do not activate the clutch before making sure that everyone is away from the machine
and there is no repair kit left on the machine.
•
Do not activate the clutch without making sure that everyone is away from the machine
and no tool kits are set on the machine.
•
Do not work with loose clothing that may be caught in moving parts around the
machine.
•
Do not attempt to pull out hay from any part of the baler while in use.
•
Do not refill fuel tank while the engine of tractor towing the baler is running.
•
Never operate the baler without all guards in place.
•
Do not allow anyone on the baler.
•
Do not disconnect baler while in operation.
•
Do not approach to the machine for minimum 2 minutes after shutting the machine
down.
Personnel Qualification and Training
People operating, performing maintenance procedures or repairing the baler must be
warned against the risks associated with machine operation, and must receive training
accordingly. Operator should assume the responsibility and monitor the personnel. If the
personnel is lacking required knowledge, they should immediately receive necessary training
and explanations. Operator must ensure that content of this manual is fully read and
understood by the personnel. Repair procedures that are not specified in this manual
must be performed by authorized service personnel only.
Failure to Implement Safety Measures
Personal injuries and environmental hazards as well as machine damage may occur in
case of failure to observe safety measures. Failure to observe safety measures may render
all claims of damage void. Following dangers may emerge when safety measures are not
observed:

Risks arising due to failure to protect work area
•
Loss of substantial functions of the machine
•
Failure to follow recommended methods of repair and maintenance
•
Risks that may arise from mechanical and chemical effects
•
Environmental hazards that may arise from hydraulic oil leaks
