5 SECTION – Use
5.1 PRIOR TO USE
Before operating the machine, the operator must have read and understood all parts of this manual, espe-
cially those given in “Section 3” on Safety.
Check the machine’s conditions carefully, especially parts most subject to wear and tear.
5.2 STARTING UP
The machine must be operated exclusively by skilled personnel, who have been properly trained in the use
of the machine and in the main safety procedures. Before starting the machine, personnel are required to
make themselves familiar with its controls.
5.3 ADJUSTMENTS
WARNING
In order to avoid accidents and dangerous situations every machine adjustments has to be
done exclusively with the machine switched off and the ignition keys have to be disconnected.
The adjustment should be done accordingly to this use and maintenance manual
The machine control is described in 2.2 Control Devices.
5.3.1 ADJUSTMENT OF THE SPEED OF TRAVEL OF THE BELT THAT FEEDS THE DISCS
1-
Disassemble the transmission wheel and the protection case (Pic. 11).
2- Release the chain tightener ( a ).
3- Increase or decrease the belt revolutions changing the pinion ratio:
Z: 12-60 slow movement Z: 22-54 fast movement
4- Tighten the chain using the chain tightener ( a ).
5- Assemble the protection case and the transmission wheel.
