6.8 RBS HVAC1 Fail Alarm
•
At the five-port Ethernet router, unplug the Cat5e cable from the DAC/WAC unit (see section 4.4).
•
After approximately 60 seconds verify that a communications alarm for the DAC/WAC unit is an active
alarm in controller web page.
•
Verify that the RBS HVAC1 Fail alarm is active at the NOC.
•
Plug the Cat5e cable from the DAC/WAC unit back into the five-port Ethernet router.
•
After approximately 60 seconds verify that there is no active communications alarm for the DAC/WAC.
•
Verify that the RBS HVAC1 Fail alarm is not active at the NOC.
6.9 RBS HVAC2 Fail Alarm
•
At the shelter ILC turn the AC breaker for the HVAC unit to the OFF position.
•
After approximately 60 seconds verify that both communications and landline power alarms for the HVAC
unit are active alarms in controller web page.
•
Verify that the RBS HVAC2 Fail alarm is active at the NOC.
•
At the shelter ILC turn the AC breaker for the HVAC unit to the ON position.
•
After approximately 60 seconds verify that there are no active alarms for the HVAC unit.
•
Verify that the RBS HVAC2 Fail alarm is not active at the NOC.
6.10 RBS Temp High Alarm
•
Set the RBS High Temp Alarm Set Point (see section 5.4) to 2°F below the indoor air temperature to
force an RBS Temp High alarm.
•
Verify that the RBS Temp High alarm is active at the NOC.
•
Restore the RBS High Temp Alarm Set Point to its previous value.
•
Verify that the RBS Temp High alarm is not active at the NOC.
6.11 RBS Temp Low Alarm
•
Set the RBS Low Temp Alarm Set Point see section 5.4) to 2°F above the indoor air temperature (to force
an RBS Temp Low alarm.
•
Verify that the RBS Temp Low alarm is active at the NOC.
•
Restore the RBS Low Temp Alarm Set Point to its previous value.
•
Verify that the RBS Temp Low alarm is not active at the NOC.
6.12 Standalone Operation (CoolLinks™ Interface only)
•
At the five-port Ethernet router, unplug the Cat5e cable from the CoolLinks™-equipped DAC/WAC unit
(see section 4.4) or HVAC unit (see section 4.5.2).
•
After approximately 60 seconds verify that a communications alarm for this unit is an active alarm in
controller we page.
•
If the DAC/WAC unit was previously running the variable fan speed will increase to 100%.
•
If the DAC/WAC unit was not running it will start and the variable speed fan will run at 100%.
•
If the HVAC unit was previously running the compressor will run when temperature exceeds 90°F.
•
If the HVAC unit was not previously running it will start the evaporator blower and the compressor will
run when the temperature exceeds 90°F.
•
Plug the Cat5e cable from the DAC/WAC or HVAC unit back into the five-port Ethernet router.
•
After approximately 60 seconds verify that there is no active communications alarm for this unit.
