Operation
1) When water is flowing through the panel, the panel surface should be cool to the
touch. This means that the water flow is sufficient for the panel and that the heat
generated from the panel is drained with water.
2) Leave the solar panel filter unit in operation for as long as the sun is resting on
the panel. The longer this time is, the more and faster the pool will get warm.
3) If you leave the solar panel filter unit in cold operation, the water in the pool will
be cooled in the opposite direction. In this case, open the manual bypass valve in
time and disable solar heating.
4) At night, we recommend shutting down the solar heater by opening a manual
bypass valve and covering the pool with a solar canvas to reduce heat loss.
5) Do not use solar heating if the pool water temperature reaches 30 ° C. This
hot water does not shine too much and, in addition, creates optimal conditions
for algae growth. Also, some pool components may have thermal limitations. For
example, the film may soften in foil pools.
WARNING: The SOLAR PANEL can be hot and can be HOT WATER. BEFORE AFTER
FILTERING ON, FIRST WATER WILL BE RUNNING TO THE SWIMMING POOL.
WARNING DAMAGE TO THE PANEL: THE SOLAR PANEL MAY CAUSE MECHANICALLY
DAMAGING OVERSEAS. WATCH ON THE PANEL.
Wintering
Solar heaters, like your filter unit, must not freeze. Frost will cause irreparable
damage to the panel and other assembly components. Frost damage is not covered
by the warranty.
Before the frosts come out, drain the water from the panel and from the hose or
pipe connection with the filter unit and the pool. Remove the plugs on the panel
and allow the water to drain. Make sure there is no water left in the panel (be
careful of any possible areas where the water may remain).
After complete drainage, WE RECOMMEND THE PANEL TO REMOVE AND STORAGE
AT A DRY PLACE, PROTECTED BEFORE FROZEN.
If you leave the panels in place, it is necessary to vacuum all the remaining water
from the panels and other parts of the installation with a wet vacuum cleaner.
Panel repairs
The solar water heating system in the above-mentioned swimming pools provides
a guarantee of material and manufacturing defects. If the panel is flowing for other
reasons, it can be corrected by the following procedure.
Correction procedure
The repair can be done as described below, but requires technical skill.
Find out where the panel is flowing. Turn off filtering and disconnect the panel.
Pour water out of the panel and leave it for about 24 hours in the sun to dry (even
from inside). Use a polypropylene melter bar and melting stick instead to correct.
The material of the panel and hot melt bars must be heated. With the solder, work
very carefully to avoid overheating and permanent damage to the panel. Special
sealants (eg Terostat 9200 with a suitable cleaner) can also be used. Then follow
the instructions for using mastic and cleaner.
