7. MAINTENANCE
ATTENTION: The device contains live electrical components. The de-
vice may only be opened by a person with the appropriate electrical
qualification Electrical shock hazard.
IMPORTANT: Before carrying out any work on the device, make sure
that it is disconnected from the mains.
•
Inspect regularly the water line for water leaks or air intake that would result in
system aeration.
•
Clean the pool and filter regularly to prevent damage to the equipment due to a
dirty or clogged filter.
•
Check regularly the power supply and the condition of the power cord. If the ma-
chine starts to operate abnormally, turn off the machine immediately and contact
an authorized service centre.
•
Check regularly the technical condition of the heat pump and remove impurities
from its evaporator to avoid reducing the efficiency of the heat exchange.
•
Check regularly the working area of the pump (see figure in chapter Pump site
selection); keep it clean and remove accumulated dirt, leaves or snow.
•
When the heat pump is not in use, disconnect it from the mains, drain the water
and cover it with a tarpaulin or PE foil.
•
Use normal dish-washing detergent and clean water to wash the heat pump exter-
nally.
•
Clean regularly the outer surface of the evaporator from trapped dirt with a soft
brush. Check the evaporator surface for fin creases. The fins can be carefully
straightened with a flat, not sharp tool. The warranty does not cover mechanical
damage to the fins.
•
Check regularly the tightening of the screws anchoring the device to the base, the
screws securing the covers and the wear of the power cord. Clean the rusted parts
with a wire brush and treat them with anti-corrosion paint.
•
Remove regularly the top cover and clean the inside of the heat pump from dirt.
•
All repairs to the internal parts of the heat pump may only be carried out by a
qualified technician.
•
The cooling system must only be serviced by a qualified technician.
8. TROUBLESHOOTING
Important note: If the fault cannot be resolved immediately, then you will need to
know the error code that appears on the display in order to analyse the problem
When reporting a fault, also state the operating conditions of the heat pump: ambi-
ent temperature, pool water temperature and manometer (during operation, when
switched off), whether the air coming out of the heat pump is cold, the evaporator
grille is cold or there occurs ice on the evaporator.
Please keep this information at disposal when you call customer service to descri-
be the problem. On the following pages you will find an overview of the different
types of problems and faults that may occur, together with instructions on how to
solve them.
