NEC Versa LX and SX DVD-to-Go PC Card Accelerator 7
Can I use DVD-to-Go on Windows 98?
Yes. You can still use the DVD-to-Go software after you upgrade to Windows 98.
Can I use DVD-to-Go on Windows NT?
No. Windows NT does not support Zoomed Video which is required for DVD-to-Go
functions. The DVD-to-Go CD will not install on a Windows NT system.
Why does my display panel go black while I am watching a movie? I am using the
Windows 98 operating system.
Windows 98 has a power saving feature that turns off the display panel when no
keyboard or mouse activity is detected. You can temporarily disable this power-saving feature
using the Windows 98 Control Panel.
To disable this feature, go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, and double click the Power
Management icon. Use the drop-down box next to the option, turn off the monitor, and change
the setting to Never. Be sure to re-enable this setting after viewing a DVD movie to ensure
optimal battery life.
When I try to play a MIDI file using Media Player, why does the system ask me to
insert the Margi DVD card?
Your DVD-to-Go player installs itself into Media Player during initial installation.
When Media Player starts, it checks all installed media devices and tries to load the DVD driver
which requires the card. When this occurs and you are not playing a DVD movie, simply click
Cancel when prompted to insert the DVD-to-Go card.
