How the picture formats appear on your TV depends on the kind of TV you have and the picture
mode your TV is set to:

16:9 Wide Screen
- for wide screen TV (Full Mode)

4:3 Letter Box (LB)
- refers to pictures where black bands appear at the top and bottom

4:3 Pan and Scan (PS)
- refers to pictures where part of the picture is cut off so it fills the whole
screen
