Sanitize surface areas of ice
machine.
Use a clean sanitizer soaked
towel to sanitize ice machine
surfaces, including the side
walls, base (area above water
trough), and the bin or
dispenser. Rinse with a clean
water soaked towel.

Reinstall plastic evaporator
parts.
Return the parts to the ice
machine and reassemble.
(Perform Steps 14 to 9 in
reverse order).

Restore power to the ice
machine.
Turn power on at the breaker
or electrical disconnect.

Prepare Sanitizer.
Prepare the correct amount of
sanitizer.
IF300, IT420, IT520, IT620
Kay 5 - Mix 1 packet with 1
liter of water.
Or
McD DR - Measure 25 ml
IT1200, IF1400C, IT1500,
IF1800C, IT1900, IF2100C
Kay 5 - Mix 3 packets with 1
liter of water
Or
McD DR - Measure 60 ml
For all other model
s
Kay 5 - Mix 2 packets with 1
liter of water
McD DR - Measure 40 ml
*Amounts vary by ice machine size
due to amount of water being held in
the water troughs of each machine.
Larger machines hold more water.
Concentration should remain the
same.
Sanitizer

Press CLEAN switch.
Push the clean button then
select “Turn on when
complete”.
sanitize cycle.
Check box to return to ON
(start ice making) at the
completion of sanitizing.

Sanitize evaporator and water
circulation system.
Wait for approximately 3
minutes until “Please add
chemicals” is displayed, then
pour the sanitizer solution
into the water trough and
press “Chemicals added”.

Reinstall front panels and
tighten screws.

Clean and sanitize bin.
Clean ice bin by wiping
interior with a clean delimer
soaked towel.
Rinse interior by wiping with
a clean water soaked towel.
Sanitize interior by wiping
with a clean sanitizer-soaked
towel.
Rinse interior by wiping with
a clean water soaked towel.
Use Glass and Multi-Surface
Cleaner to clean the exterior
of the bin and ice machine.

used, refer to dispenser
disassembly, cleaning and
sanitizing procedures.
