Suction Shut Off Valve Insulation
The pre-formed suction shut-off valve insulation is
located in the plastic bag taped to the water curtain.

ADDITIONAL REFRIGERANT CHARGE FOR 51’ TO
100’ (15.5 TO 30 METERS) LINE SETS
Additional refrigerant is required for the models listed
below when the line set length exceeds 50’ (15 meters)
POSITION BIN THERMOSTAT PROBE
IB690C/IB890C/IB1090C ONLY
The thermostat probe must be moved from the shipping
to ice making position.
•
The bin thermostat probe must be rotated down to
enable ice contact and proper operation.
•
The control requires programming see bin sensor

1. Loosen thumbscrew securing probe.
2. Rotate the probe from horizontal to vertical position.
3. Tighten thumbscrew.
Before Starting the Ice Machine
All Manitowoc ice machines are factory-operated and
adjusted before shipment. Normally, new installations do
not require any adjustment.
To ensure proper operation, follow the Operational
Checks in Section 3 of this manual. Starting the ice
machine and completing the Operational Checks are the
responsibilities of the owner/operator.
Adjustments and maintenance procedures outlined in
this manual are not covered by the warranty.
•
Set the date and time for your area and refer to the
Operation section to verify the control board settings
are correct for your customers location and
application.
•
Remove the tape and two metal shipping brackets
from the ice thickness probe.
•
Sanitize the ice machine and bin/dispenser.
