B - EVERY 50 HOURS SERVICE
Carry out the operations described previously as well as the following operations.
B1 - DRY AIR FILTER CARTRIDGE
CHECK - CLEAN
In case of use in a heavily dust laden atmosphere, there are pre-filtration car tridges (see: 3 - MAINTENANCE: FILTERS CARTRIDGES
AND BELTS). Also, the checking and cleaning periodicity of the car tridge must be reduced.
If the clogging indicator light comes on, this operation must be carried out as quickly as possible (1 hour maximum). The cartridge
must not be cleaned more than seven times, after which the cartridge must be changed.
- For the disassembly and reassembly of the car tridge, see: 3 - MAINTENANCE: D3 - DRY AIR FILTER CARTRIDGE.
- Clean the filter car tridge using a compressed air jet (max. pressure 3 bar) directed from the top to the bottom and from the inside
towards the outside at a minimum distance of 30 mm from the car tridge wall.
- Cleaning is completed when there is no more dust on the car tridge.
Respect the safety distance of 30 mm between the air jet and the cartridge to avoid tearing or making a hole in the cartridge. The
cartridge must not be blown anywhere near the air filter box. Never clean the cartridge by tapping it against a hard surface. Your eyes
must be protected during this intervention.
- Clean the car tridge seal sur faces with a damp, clean lint-free cloth and grease with a silicone lubricant (MANITOU reference:
479292).
- Check visually the outer condition of the air filter and its mounts. Verify the condition of the hoses and their mounts also.
Do not clean the dry air filter cartridge by washing it in liquid. Do not clean by any means the safety cartridge located inside the filter
cartridge, change it for a new one if it is dirty or damaged.
B2 - RADIATOR CORE
CLEAN
In a polluting atmosphere, clean the radiator core every day. Do not use a water jet or high-
pressure steam as this could damage the radiator fins.
- Open the I.C. engine bonnet.
- Remove the inspection panel 1 (fig. B2).
- In order to prevent the radiator becoming clogged, clean the radiator with a compressed
air jet directed from outside to inside. This is the only way to clean the core of debris.
B3 - TENSION AND ALIGNMENT OF THE MAST LIFTING CHAINS
(MAST WITH ROLLERS)
CHECK - ADJUST

Place the lift truck on level ground with the mast in a ver tical position and the forks lifted
at approximately 200 mm.
- Check the alignment of the mast lifting chains between the carriage’s chain fasteners
and the chain rollers.
- Manually verify the chain tension, if necessar y adjust as following while ensuring that the
carriage is perpendicular to the mast.
- Untighten the nut 1 (fig. B3).
- Untighten the lock nut 2 (fig. B3) of the chain tension adjuster.
- Adjust the tension by tightening or untightening the nut 3 (fig. B3) while checking the alignment of the lifting chains.
- Then block the lock nut 2 (fig. B3) and the nut 3 (fig. B3).
- Retighten the nut 1 (fig. B3).
These checks are important for the good working operation of the mast. In case of technical faults, consult your dealer.
