PRECAUTIONS – SAFETY GUIDE
For your own and other’s safety please read this USER’S MANUAL and follow the instructions carefully.
Danger
1. Never use petrol in the machine – risk of explosion and/or uncontrollable flames.
2. Never use the heater in explosive environments, such as in the vicinity of flammable liquids, gases or dust.
3. Always provide adequate ventilation when using the machine, otherwise there is a risk of carbon monoxide
poisoning
Warning
1. Never use spray canisters in the vicinity of the heater, since the gas from spray canisters can cause fire and/
or explosion.
2. Never use the machine in the vicinity of combustible powder such as sawdust which can be sucked into the
machine – risk of personal injury and/or fire.
3. Never block the air intake, or cover the machine, as this might cause fire.
4. Never modify the heater in any way.
5. Do not expose the machine to rain, or use it in wet or damp conditions.
6. Switch off the machine and unplug the power cord before checking and/or maintenance.
7. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or in-
struction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
8. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Note
1. In order to prevent fire, keep all combustible materials away from heater. Minimum clearances: Air outlet
(front) 3 metres, air inlet (rear) 2 metres, top 2 metres, side 2 metres.
2. Place the diesel heater on a non-flammable surface, overheating may cause fire.
3. Switch off the machine, pull out the plug, check that the flame has extinguished, and allow the machine to
cool before refilling with fuel, otherwise there is a risk of fire and/or serious personal injury.
4. Before using the appliance, check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type
plate.
5. This heater is filled with a precise quantity of special oil. Repairs requiring opening of the oil container are
only to be made by the manufacturer or it’s service agent who should be contacted if there is an oil leak.
6. When disposing the heater, follow the regulations concerning the disposal of oil.
