Models equipped with the Power Wedge option also have a built-in feature that monitors
the condition of the Power Wedge Actuators. This feature will disable the use of the
Wedge for 10 seconds to prevent damage to the Wedge while also indicating to the
operator there is a fault. For boats equipped with Standard dash instrumentation, the
Power Wedge gauge will “wag” to indicate a fault. For boats equipped with MaliView,
see the MaliView alarm screens in previous pages to view the messages that can be
displayed.
Notice:
Be sure the wedge unit is up before loading boat on trailer.
Ensure all passengers are in the boat before changing wedge
position. Stay clear of wedge unit while in motion. Fingers
and clothing can be pinched between wedge arms and
bracket, causing serious injury to passengers.
Figure 2-12. Power Wedge
If battery power is disconnected or the battery switch turned off, the Power Wedge will
need to be cycled up and down twice after reconnecting for the system to relearn the
Wedge Position.
