REAR BRAKE CALIPER
•
(Remove rear wheel).
•
Undo the screw of the hydraulic transmission (V) and
remove the hydraulic transmission and its gaskets.
When reassembling, replace the gaskets of
the hydraulic transmission.
After having removed the hydraulic trans-
mission and the caliper from its seat, place
a recipient under it to collect the brake flu-
id. Dispose of used brake fluid in compli-
ance with statutory legislation.

CHECK THE DISC AND PADS OF THE REAR BRAKE
FOR WEAR
•
Take the opportunity to check also wear of the brake
disc.
If the disc is badly damaged or the thickness less than
3.5 mm, it must be renewed. Minimum thickness of
the pads is 2 mm.
NOTE
For overhauling the caliper see the specific
chapter.
