Hold the pow er tool by ins ulated gripping
surfaces only, because the cutter blade ma y
conta ct hidden wiring.
Cutter blades contacting
a "live" wire ma y make exposed metal pa rts o f th e
power tool "live " and coul d give th e operator an
electric shock.

Keep all parts of the body aw ay from t he cutter
blade. Do not remove cut mate rial or hold
mat erial to be cut w hen blades are moving.

Carry the hedge trimmer by the handle with
the c utt er blade stopped. Whe n trans porting
or s toring the hedge trimm er alwa ys fit the
cutting device c over.
Proper han dling of the
hed ge trimmer will reduce possib le pe rso nal in jury
from the cu tter blades.

Do n ot use the he dge trimmer in the rain or in wet
or very damp co nditions. The electric motor is not
wate rproo f.

Fir st-time u se rs shou ld have an expe rienced
hed ge trimmer user sh ow th em how to u se th e
trimme r.

Th e hed ge trimme r must n ot be used by ch ildren
or young pe rso ns und er 18 ye ars of age. Youn g
persons ove r 1 6 year s of a ge may be exemp ted
from this restriction if they a re under going training
und er the supervision of an expert.

Use the he dge trimmer only if you are in good
physica l condition. If yo u ar e tired, your atten tion
will b e re duced. Be especially careful a t the end of
a working day. P erform a ll work calmly and
carefully. Th e user is respon sible fo r all da ma ges
to third parties.

alcoho l, drugs or med ica tion .

Ch eck to make sure that th e vo ltag e and
freque ncy o f the power su pply correspon d to the
specifications give n o n the ide ntificatio n p late. We
recommend the use of a residu al-current-oper ate d
circu it breaker (gr ound-fault circuit inter rupter) with
a tripp ing curren t of 30 mA or less, o r an e arth
leakag e curren t protector.
10. Wo rk g love s of stout leather are pa rt o f the basic
equ ipment o f the hedge trimmer and must always
be wor n when working with it. Also we ar stu rdy
shoes with anti-skid soles.

Before startin g work check to make sure that the
trimme r is in g ood and safe working order. En sur e

must not b e used unl ess ful ly asse mb led.
12. Ma ke sure you have a secu re footin g before
starting ope rati on.
13. Ho ld the tool firmly when using the too l.
14. Do no t oper ate the tool at n o-load un necessarily.
15. Immedia tely switch off th e motor an d remove the
battery cartridg e if the cutte r sho uld come into
contact with a fence or other hard ob ject. Check
the cutter for damage , and if d amaged repa ir
immediately.
16. Before che cking the cutter, ta kin g care of faults, or
removing mate rial caug ht in the cutter, always
switch off the tr immer and remove the b attery
cartridge.
17. Switch off the trimmer and remove th e batter y
cartridge before doing an y maintenance work.
18. When movi ng th e hedge trimmer to another
location, includin g durin g work, always re mo ve the
battery cartridge . Neve r car ry or transport th e
trimme r with th e cutte r running . Neve r grasp th e
cutter with your hand s.
19. Cle an the he dge trimmer and especially the cutter
after use, and before putting th e trimmer into
stora ge fo r extend ed period s. Lightly o il the cutte r
and put o n the cover. The cove r su pplied with the
unit ca n b e h ung on th e wall, providing a sa fe and
practica l way to store the hedge trimme r.
20. Store th e hed ge trimme r with th e cover on , i n a dry
roo m. K eep it out o f reach o f children. Never store
the trimmer outdoors.
