With the corner guides flat end flush with drywall, secure (1) measured corner guide into
each corner of the opening. Use (4) small galvanized nails, leaving a minimum of 1 inch
above the attic floor. (See Figure 14 for reference)
NOTE: The corner guides cannot hang below the ceiling and the cut angled end must be
facing toward the attic space.
**THESE GUIDES MUST BE IN PLACE FOR SMOOTH OPERATION OF THE LIFT**
13. Attach the RED safety chain to the frame (See Figure 14 for reference).
DANGER
The safety chain is not intended to hold the weight
of a person. It is a visual cue to remain clear of the
opening.
14. Using (8 ) of the 1.25" Galvanized nails, install the vinyl safety strip across the open side of
the lift opening.
15. Secure and zip tie the electrical cord to the motor frame, so it is not in the path of the lift.
