5 Troubleshooting 

 

5.1 Power System Failure 

SM2300-28TC-AC Fast Ethernet Switch can judge whether the switch power system 

is faulty according to the power indicator on the front panel. When the power 

system works normally, the power indicator keeps always on; if it is off, please 

conduct the following examinations: 

 

Check whether the power line of the switch is correctly connected. 

 

Check whether the power supply of switch matches with the power required. 

5.2 Configuration System Failure 

After the SM2300-28TC-AC fast Ethernet switch powers on, if the system works 

normally, the booting information will be displayed on the configuration terminal; if 

it is faulty, the booting information cannot be displayed on the configuration 

terminal or the messy code is displayed. 

5.3 No Display on Terminal 

After the power is on, if no information id displayed on the configuration terminal, 

first conduct the following examinations: 

 

Check whether the power works normally.
