10.4.3 Dismantling the thermometer
To change the thermometer, simply pull it
out.
Insert the new thermometer
Only use the same type of
thermometer
Note the colour-coding (red = forward
flow (VL), blue = return flow (VL).
10.4.4 Gravity brake
●
There is a gravity brake in the forward
and return flow ball valves. This prevents
an unwanted gravity-circulation in the
EW-system.
●
The gravity brake can be adjusted after
removing the thermometer.
Remove the thermometer at the
corresponding ball valve.
Adjust the gravity brake in line with your
requirements.
●
0° setting (= Factory setting):
Gravity brake in operation, flow in flow
direction.
●
45° setting: Gravity brake not in
operation, flow in both directions.
●
90° setting: Ball valve closed, no flow (for
installation or maintenance work).
10.4.5 Filling the system
Check the position of the gravity brake
in the return flow ball valve (0° setting,

Chapter 10.4.4).
Close the forward flow ball valve (gravity
brake setting at 90°,
→
Chapter 10.4.4).
Open the flow counter ball valve (
→
arrow).
Remove the screw safety-cap on the run-
off (
→
arrow).
