When you shift to 4WD mode, an auidible ‘Click’ will indicate that
automatic locking hubs are engaged and therefore power is being
transmitted to the front wheels. While changing back to the 2WD
mode. the hubs need to be released.

Reverse the vehicle in a stright line for about a meter
An auidble ‘Click’ will indicate that the hubs have been released
Unlocking is necessarily required to be done to isolate front
axle & transfer case from transmission & from front wheels

If auto - lock hubs make a clattering noise when driving in 2H
mode, stop and move the vehicle about 2 to 3 meters in bacward
direction.
